Located in the Bahian region of Caetité City in Brazil, the SAC8000T7-8 is helping to install 45 wind turbines at three separate complexes. Director of I.V. Guindastes, Igor Boff, said the 800-tonne capacity Sany mobile crane would enhance his company’s capacity in the wind farm sector.
“The equipment will strengthen our fleet dedicated to wind farm maintenance,” he said, “ensuring and expanding the variety of wind turbines we can service, reaching all available models.”
On top of its 800-tonne lifting capacity, Sany’s seven-axle all-terrain crane possesses a seven-section main telescopic boom of 91m that can provide a maximum lifting height of 150m thanks to its 66m, hydraulically adjustable fixed jib extension. The crane also possesses a new generation cab with a range of new features designed to enhance operator comfort, visibility, and efficiency. Furthermore, the crane is highly transportable due to its capacity to carry parts of its maximum 183 tonnes of counterweight.
Once complete, the farms will produce a total of 90mW, with the energy contributing to the overarching Alto Sertão Wind Complex that will possess a combined production capacity of 1113gW.
Sany’s wheeled, mobile crane range spans from eight-tonne truck cranes through to its largest mobile machine, the 2400-tonne capacity SAC24000T. Sany’s products are distributed across Australia by Tutt Bryant.
