Sarens has successfully completed the transport of a 230-tonne military vessel in Uralsk, West Kazakhstan, for client Uralsk Plant “Zenit” JSC.
The project involved moving the vessel, marked “JAGALAY KÜZETI”, approximately three kilometres from the dock to its designated unloading location.
Given the size and weight of the vessel, the operation required detailed planning and coordination throughout every stage of the move.
To carry out the transport, Sarens deployed Kamag K24 modular trailers configured with 24 axle lines across two Power Pack Units (PPUs). The setup provided the load distribution and manoeuvrability needed to safely transport the vessel through urban streets.
The move also required close cooperation with local authorities. Traffic police escorted the convoy along the entire route to maintain safety, while temporary power shutdowns were arranged to provide sufficient clearance for the oversized load.
These measures allowed the transport to be completed efficiently while minimising disruption to the surrounding area.
Sarens managed all aspects of the operation, including route surveys, engineering planning and on-site execution. The company said the successful outcome demonstrated its ability to deliver highly sensitive and logistically demanding transport projects.
The vessel was transported safely and placed at its unloading location without incident, marking another significant heavy transport project for the company in Kazakhstan.
The successful move further strengthens Sarens’ position in the region and highlights its capability to deliver engineered transport solutions for complex infrastructure, industrial and military logistics projects.
