This year’s CICA National Conference is set in the Hunter Valley, and it’s shaping up to be a ‘must attend’ event.
Right in the middle of wine country, the location gives attendees a reason to make a proper trip of it, whether it’s a couple of extra days exploring all that the region has to offer, like floating across vineyards in a hot air balloon or enjoying a nice glass of red.
But of course, the main game is still the conference, and this is one of the few locations where an outdoor ‘crane and equipment’ display is possible. It’s a chance to get up close and have real conversations with suppliers, to see what’s new and what’s changing across the industry without having to rush.
The program is a bit different this year. One of the standouts will be a mock court case, built around a realistic scenario that walks through what can go wrong, and how it plays out legally.
It’s practical, and is the sort of thing that sticks with you, as attendees will get the opportunity to be part of the event, playing the role of judge, court officer, witnesses and jury. You will be taken through the court brief, the simulated trial and verdict.
